A resident of Montreal, pianist Natsuki Hiratsuka is an active performer as a chamber musician. “A pianist of great skills and sensitivity” states La Scena Musicale, while Fanfare Magazine writes “She evinces a special sensitivity to the haunting sonorities...” .
A passionate advocate of the bandoneón, musicologist Jonathan Goldman is a member of Quartango, Canada’s first tango band. Their 2014 recording, Encuentro won a Juno Prize for best instrumental album and an Opus Prize in 2015. Jonathan Goldman is Associate Professor of musicology in the Faculty of Music of the Université de Montréal.

Résidente de Montréal, la pianiste japonaise-américaine Natsuki Hiratsuka est très active dans le monde musical. La revue La Scena Musicale la présente comme “une pianiste de grande compétence et sensibilité” et le magazine Fanfare la décrit comme une artiste qui “témoigne d’une sensibilité particulière aux sonorités envoûtantes”.
Madame Hiratsuka a joué en solo et en musique de chambre à Boston, à San Francisco, en Angleterre, au Japon, au Canada et au Costa Rica.
Un ardent défenseur du bandonéon et du tango, le musicologue Jonathan Goldman est membre de Quartango, le premier orchestre de tango au Canada. L’album qu’il a enregistré avec cette formation en 2014, Encuentro, a gagné un Prix Juno et un Prix Opus. Il est professeur de musicologie à la Faculté de musique de l’Université de Montréal.
