Résumé/abstract:

A number of groups have found tentative evidence for 130 GeV dark matter annihilating into gamma rays at the galactic center, by studying publicly available Fermi/LAT data.  I will discuss two theoretical models which could account for the observations, one where scalar dark matter couples to new charged scalars, and another where fermionic dark matter has a large magnetic moment due to compositeness.  Both models predict distinctive signatures at the LHC, including like-sign lepton pairs and four-photon events, that would allow for the discovery of the new charged particles needed for mediating the dark matter interaction with photons.
